The Works of Dr. Amos Wilson with Strategic Black Empowerment Training (SBET)

The mission of SBET is to bring practical Afrikan psychology-based tools to Pan Afrikan groups, organizations and individuals that will support them in achieving the healthy, genuine liberation and nation building sovereignty using the full Wilsonian library as educational tools. Our vision centers on the strengthening, healing and blossoming of Pan Afrikan organizations and individual Afrikans to create true power that is harnessed and used for the best interests of ALL Afrikans while moving towards a powerful, integral, and prosperous future.

Baba Afam, founder of Strategic Black Empowerment Training (SBET), will share his journey in discovering the works of Amos Wilson, his association with Baba Sababu Plata, Editor and Publisher of Dr. Wilson's works, how SBET came to be, the impact that Dr. Amos Wilson's works and suggested strategies had on the development of SBET as well how to apply what's happening in the world now and in the future using Black Empowerment strategies.

Presenter: Baba Afam, MPS, Ed.D. is the founder of SBET, which stands for Strategic Black Empowerment Training, a Pan Afrikan educational collective based in Brooklyn, New York that teaches the entirety of the Amos Wilson educational library of books and lectures to Brothers and Sisters in the Motherland and in the Diaspora. Baba Afam is also the CEO and founder of the Afam Consulting which offers educational consulting in three areas of expertise; Organizational Leadership & Professional Development, Cultural Competency & Capacity, and Holistic Health & Wellness. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at University of Missouri.
