The National Race 1st Race Convention - A Renewed and Contemporary National Convening Space


The National Race 1st Convention emerged from a deliberate effort to build national consciousness among Black people in the United States since the 1800's.

In 2020, Baba Imhotep launched the first Race 1st Rally, extended a national call to Black Nationalist, Pan-Africanist, Afrocentric, and Revolutionary organizations across the country to host their own Race 1st Rallies simultaneously with the Baltimore rally. National Race 1st Rallies were held annually from 2020 through 2023.

The rallies were a strategic phase designed to set the stage and lay the groundwork for a structured and enduring national platform which including 12 Guardians of articles designed to focus our collective direction:

Article 1: Cultural Restoration—Mama Iya Sango Kolade

Article 2: Economic Power—Tafadzwa ShakaRa Mbandaka

Article 3: Social Transformation—Doctor Ausar

Article 4: African-centered Education/socialization—Mama Makini

Article 5: African-centered Health Care—Baba Kahli

Article 6: Scientific Mastery—Baba Amin

Article 7: Technological Advancement—Dr. Maat

Article 8: Political Power—Baba Mkuu Mzee

Article 9: Agricultural Sustainability—Obafemi Kinsiedilele

Article 10: National Security (Military Power)—Baba Akili

Article 11: Spiritual Alignment—Benjamin Njie

Article 12: African Sovereignty—Mama Marimba Ani

Presented By Baba Imhotep Fatiu is a Pan-African thought leader, community architect, and spiritual strategist whose lifelong mission is the full sovereignty of African people. A native of Biltmore City, Baba Imhotep founder and Minister of Operationsof the Pan-Afrikan Liberation Movement (PLM), and the founder of Kimoyo Shule Africana, an African-centered weekend school dedicated to cultivating cultural consciousness among Black children ages 8 to 12.
