Passing the Baton: Identifying Legacy Organizations

After 23 impactful years, Mama Debra Watkins has shuttered A Black Education Network (ABEN). During these years, she identified other individuals and their organizations to continue the work of ABEN, and has identified them as legacy organizations.

Please join Mama Debra and several representatives of these Legacy Organizations as she shares her vision of a legacy organization and its importance. Joining Mama Debra will be Dr. Akosua Lesesne, M. von Nkosi and Dr. Theresa Robinson.

Presenter: Debra Watkins was a founding member of the Santa Clara County Alliance of Black Educators (SCCABE), co-founder of Black Students of California United (BSCU), founder of the Dr. Frank S. Greene Scholars Program (GSP), the California Alliance of African American Educators (CAAAE), and A Black Education Network (ABEN)
