September 14, 2024 marks 10 years since the earthly transition of Baba Lasana K. Mack, the visionary founder of APPEAL, Inc., founding member of Ankobea, founder of Black Notes, founding facilitator of the Leadership Council for Pan-African Nationalism (LCPAN), and organizer of the DC Pan-African Council of Elders, who served as the Treasurer of the District of Columbia from 2005 to 2012. At 6PM, Saturday September 14, we will honor Baba Lasana K. Mack with a reinvisioned ancient ritual of remembrance, praise, and release, while purposefully and intentionally engaging in community healing. Brother Anthony Karakh Browder will share the ancient meaning and importance of connecting to our ancestors as practiced by ancients of Kemit. Brother Browder will be joined by Mama Bashea Imani and others We will meet at The Thurgood Marshall Center, 1816 12th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20009 We ask that all attendees wear white. Program begins promptly at 6:00 p.m.
