Presenter: Dr. Andrea Sullivan - Dr. Andrea Sullivan was the first African American to receive a PhD in sociology/criminology from the University of Pennsylvania and the first to receive a degree in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University. She is a licensed naturopathic physician with thirty-six years of experience, a founding member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and was appointed by the mayor of Washington, DC, to serve on the Board of Medicine. She has also received an honorary doctor of science degree from Sonoran University. A dynamic and inspiring lecturer, author, and TV and radio guest, she is passionate about exposing the effects of racism and sexism on the health and well-being of our society.
