Where do the Congo and the Congolese people fit in the midst of the current global and continental calls for liberation?

Young people throughout the globe are declaring a period of collective liberation with calls for Free Palestine, Free Sudan, Free Haiti, and Free Congo. In addition to these calls, we are witnessing youth rise up in Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria. Young military leaders have captured power in Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso and have formed a Pan African Alliance called the Alliance of Sahel States. In the heart of the African continent, Great Power competition has escalated in the scramble for critical minerals in order to power the Green/Clean Energy transition.
