SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA: GOVERNANCE, SECURITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Much of Sub-Saharan Africa has seen a broad tendency towards rapid growth starting in the early 2000s, which spurred middle-class expansion. What are the issues critical to the development of Sub-Saharan Africa in the twenty-first century?  We will highlight progress, discuss emerging issues mainly in governance, security and economic development which are of common concern to the region; as well as opportunities to contribute effectively to Africa's management and development going into the future.
