The Cultural Socialization Imperative Facing African Women in the 21st Century and Beyond
This workshop will discuss the concept of the Warrior Healer as developed by Dr. Nsenga Warfield Coppock, review the effects and impact of an African-centered cultural socialization process for adult women because of their participation in a year-long rite of passage/initiation program, and the impact of family history on personal development, mental health, and physical health of several participants.
