The Repairing: Creating More Balanced and Harmonic Relations within the Family and Community

How to begin helping our people overcome chronic poverty, illness and injustice?

The very fabric of culture, society and even civilization is bound to the enduring strength of family and community.  During the centuries-long experience of enslavement, which we have come to call the Maafa, numerous assaults on the black family have produced devastation. Just reading through the extended list of offenses against our people could make you feel somewhat depressed or overwhelmed.

Yet it is vitally necessary, when we are set upon resolving these deep and persisting problems, that we approach this task with an optimized attitude.  We must always be well-prepared to initiate corrective procedures, and it is vital that we are sufficiently excited to sprint into action.  We should be even more excited to collaborate with others who are similarly inspired.

Revitalizing the family and community is not only doable, but we should anticipate it to be rewarding and transforming in its outcome.  We should be eager to commence the precise planning that will accomplish this mission.
